Whether it’s flaming cocktails or friendly Samba girls that takes your fancy, the latest addition to Leeds’ nightlife is sure to light up those dark January nights.
Revolucion de Cuba opened its Leeds branch late last year to the sound of Samba Reggae Drums from the northeast of Brazil accompanied by a knock-out cocktail menu.

I started off with a Pina Colada cocktail, the traditional drink of Puerto Rico, which went down far too easily…

Next I couldn’t resist a Ruby Punch which is presented in a cute Elephant pottery glass, they should sell these cups as I was desperate to take mine home (I didn’t though, promise).
And it’s out with the fishbowls and in with the sharing teapots. Revolucion offers rum and fruit cocktails to share, served over ice, in mugs.

As I’m not a big drinker I then checked out the Mocktail menu and was impressed by the Shy Mai Tai – a sweet almond drink balanced with lime and pineapple topped with soda and garnished with a perfumed orange.
Revs de Cuba (as it’s familiarly known) also offers a tasty food menu of Burritos, Paella and some very tasty nibbles (nachos, nuts, olives and guacamole).
My personal favourite is the mushroom, bean and Spinach vegetarian burrito – a tortilla wrap filled with spicy rice, refried beans and cheese served with Nacho chips. All finished off by a strong Cuban coffee.

My friends and I (pictured) love dancing at Revs with Hera Dance as well as being customers. And you can catch all the Samba dancers there most weekends.

This bar cum restaurant cum dancing club is quickly becoming one of the hottest places to hang-out in Leeds. And what’s best you can eat, drink and dance the night away all in one place (without getting wet and traipsing around the City Centre in your heels).
