After a shaky week of pre-wedding nerves and outside pressure to “Shape Up” f0r the big day (which is in June), I received a very lovely email – just what I needed.

I’ve made the shortlist for Healthy Magazine’s #FaceOfHealthy in association with Beauty Kitchen.

If I win (I’d love you to vote for me) I get to win a fab prize as well as being the cover star of my favourite magazine.

Modelling for Up & Running

As you may have read already, I have a long history of severe eating disorders but in recent times I’ve been getting my mind and body into gear so I can be a good role model to my two young daughters, not to mention, that it makes me feel good to be fit, strong and leave a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and natural beauty products.

I spend my week dancing anywhere and everywhere, running with my running buggy (with baby in tow), getting to as many gym classes as I can and playing with my kids. I also perform and teach bellydancing and I love playing football and netball (when childcare allows).

I also am a vegetarian, wannabe vegan, so I eat a balanced diet as I love food to give me energy  I need for all the exercise I do. My hubby-to-be is also really into cooking and teaching our kids to cook (if it wasn’t for him I’d live off stir-frys).

Sooo… please vote for me as it only takes a second. Click here and choose ‘Sophie Mei Lan Slack’: http://www.healthy-magazine.co.uk/face-of-healthy-shortlist/
